Cosmos is a blockchain ecosystem designed for building decentralized applications (DApps) and blockchain infrastructure. Its aim is to ensure scalability and interoperability between different blockchains. Key components include Tendermint, a Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) consensus mechanism, as well as an SDK for developing DApps using the Cosmos SDK programming language. Cosmos also offers a mechanism for inter-blockchain communication through the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC), enabling blockchains to interact and transfer digital assets among each other.

Staking in the Cosmos ecosystem is the process of participating in the network by locking (staking) cryptocurrencies created on the Cosmos blockchain to support network security and protection against attacks. Participants who stake their coins can engage in the consensus process and vote on important network issues. In return, they receive rewards in the form of additional tokens. Staking also contributes to decentralizing the network and encourages community involvement in the development and support of the Cosmos ecosystem. Currently, our validator AZTOMOON supports staking for SOURCE coins.
